Behind the scenes of Columbia Entertainment Company’s “Almost, Maine”

Columbia Entertainment Company actresses take audiences through their new show, “Almost, Maine,” filled with romantic stories in an imaginary town called Almost. The show opens at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 21. It will play at 1800 Nelwood Dr. on February 21-24 and February 28-March 3.

 

A closer look at the art of True/False 2019

Twenty-one art installations were displayed around downtown Columbia during the 2019 True/False Film Fest. These pieces of art encouraged viewers to engage with art and tied in with this year’s theme, “Stranger - Host.” Take a look at some of this year’s installations: “Break Into Blossom,” “Fabric Prism” and “Neon Forest Remix.”

Skylark bookshop hosts first Local Authors Night

Local authors and readers join the Local Author Night hosted by Skylark bookshop on Wednesday in downtown Columbia. Authors read their most recent work and answered questions from their readers. The shop manager said that it’s the first event for Local Author Night, and there will be more in the future.
